"Hydrofeel" Basic Lotion

This simple moisturizing lotion with our "Hydrofeel" emulsifier is easy to make and can be used for both face and body. It applies with a wonderfully silky feel, feels light, yet is moisturizing.

Emulblend Hydrofeel and cetearyl alcohol create hydrosomes and a gel-emulsion structure that provides long-lasting hydration. Hydromollient strengthens the skin barrier and further extends the moisturizing effect of Emulblend Hydrofeel.

Preparation time: ⏱ approx. 35 minutes

Ingredients in percent

Instructions:

Weigh A1 and mix

Add A1 to A2 while stirring so that Xanthan Sense does not clump

Add A3 and stir in

Heat A to 80 degrees

Continue to maintain the temperature of A at 75 degrees for approx. 20 minutes, stirring occasionally

Weigh B and heat to 70 degrees

Add B to A and stir in slowly

Homogenize for 60 seconds (the hot fat phase is slowly homogenized in the process)

Cool to 45 degrees while stirring gently

Stir in the ingredients of C one after the other

Check the pH value and adjust to approx. 5.2 with a citric acid solution

TIP: You can use the base lotion either in a 100ml amber glass jar as facial care or in a 200ml pump dispenser as a body lotion.
