Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that can differentiate into various cell types and possess the ability to self-regenerate. They are crucial for continuous growth and for the development of plants, animals, and humans. Plant stem cells play an important role in the regeneration of damaged tissue, the formation of new organs, and adaptation to environmental conditions.

Celery plant stem cells are rich in phenolic acids, flavonoids, and peptides. Through targeted and optimized cultivation under laboratory conditions, the content of these valuable substances can be increased even further.

Apicell is an extract of fresh celery stem cells and can influence the production of pro-collagen, fibronectin, and the so-called SPARC protein (osteonectin). These two proteins are found in the skin's extracellular matrix and are responsible for cell formation, wound healing, cell differentiation, and apoptosis (the removal of damaged cells). In this way, not only is collagen synthesis stimulated, but also the formation of new, differentiated collagen cells. Thus, not only is fresh tissue formed, but also a more orderly, reorganized tissue structure as well as "younger tissue." At the same time, it protects the DNA against damage from oxidative stress and sustainably improves the skin's moisture content by stimulating the body's own aquaporin and hyaluronic acid production.

For these reasons, Apicell is the perfect active ingredient for the treatment of scars and stretch marks. Scars, in fact, consist of excessive, chaotic collagen tissue.
