Glycerin is an excellent humectant for all types of water-based products such as emulsions, tonics, shampoos, and shower gels.

Humectants are usually a standard component of emulsions and other water-based skincare products. They provide moisture, dissolve substances such as active ingredients, and protect the product itself from drying out. In surfactant formulations, they protect the skin from irritation and mitigate the harshness of surfactants. Our glycerin is in pure form (99%) and is derived from organic sunflower oil. It can be fully counted towards the organic content of the final product in formulations.

Glycerin remains one of the most important moisture-binding substances in cosmetics. It acts hygroscopically (attracting water) and reliably keeps the skin hydrated for a long period, protecting it from drying out and feelings of tightness. Excessive concentrations should be avoided, as the final product may become sticky. In this context, glycerin can also be combined with Propanediol Green to achieve good skin hydration without excessive stickiness.

Usage concentration and processing
