Characteristics

Hydrolats can partially or completely replace any water phase, increase the plant-based content of a product, and impart their delicate scent as well as active properties to every product.

Neroli water is a distillate made from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree. It still contains all the water-soluble extract components of the plant and can therefore be used as a natural "active water" and for scenting cosmetic products. It is highly valued for toning all skin types (e.g., in facial toners), for adding fragrance to emulsions, or for skin-soothing products. It is advisable to replace a portion of the water phase with this hydrolat. Its fresh, floral scent is noticeable in products even if only a small part of the water phase is replaced with neroli water, e.g., 10–20%.

Since hydrolats are very susceptible to microorganisms after their container has been opened, it is advisable to use a preserved quality. Unpreserved hydrolats should only be used if they have been bottled immediately after production and are used up entirely immediately after opening.

Our hydrolats are preserved immediately after production with Leucidal, a natural fermentation product that is also created during the production of kimchi.

Due to the natural origin of Leucidal, it is significantly more expensive compared to synthetic preservatives, which is also reflected in the price of our hydrolat. In return, it is characterized by the following advantages:

• and does not alter the scent of the hydrolat in any way.
