Its long-chain molecules arrange themselves in a special, \u003cstrong\u003edense structure with the skin's own lipids\u003c\/strong\u003e and can thus effectively protect the skin. Surprisingly, this film does not feel greasy or \"sealing\" on the skin at all, but rather acts like an \u003cstrong\u003einvisible protective shield\u003c\/strong\u003e that leaves nothing behind but soft and nourished skin. Studies with Hydromollient have shown that it reduces TEWL even better than occlusive petrolatum.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApart from its active-like properties, Hydromollient is also an interesting lipid component because it brings particularly appealing sensory properties. It \u003cstrong\u003espreads more slowly\u003c\/strong\u003e and feels slightly richer upon application than many plant oils, yet it \u003cstrong\u003epenetrates the skin very quickly\u003c\/strong\u003e and does not feel greasy or oily at all. Instead, it quickly forms a smooth, protective film that feels very soft and provides long-lasting nourishment to the skin.
